Better than expected

I liked this book!. I'm not a religious person at all, but I dont take it offensively either if its there. However, like one other said, read the descriptions before you order the book.
This was one of the freebies that Amazon offered for the Kindle and I was skeptical in reading, but once I started, a couple hours later, I finished it. Not typically my type of Novel, but I did enjoy the story.
The story read easily and made sense.. and even makes the reader think and pay attention to what we read. And that is always a good thing to have.
Would I recommend this to others? Yes

Targeted for the younger iCarly crowds

I picked this up with no confusion about it being Christian fiction. The series title, "Faithgirlz", was a pretty good indication that it also wasn't for adult males. But I wanted to check it out as a possible read for youth that I work with in churches or camps.
It is a gentle read. It flows along fairly smoothly. The action sequences are spread out evenly to keep your attention. But the main character is impossibly resourceful. As a 12 year old, sixth grader, she was extremely capable of doing what no average sixth grade girl can do. So suspend a little of your realistic expectations for the primary character.
It wasn't an overly complex plot. Missing students and teachers, plucky youth investigator, misleading trails to find the guilty. It was also a fairly easy and quick read.
Altogether, I think it makes a great read for the younger, iCarly generation. It will hold their attention. It promotes a strong, independent female character.
As far as the Christian elements, this was not an in-your-face, "faith is the only answer", book. The main character refers to prayer but we are not drawn into lengthy, verbatim prayers. In fact, most of the book aims at intelligence and resourcefulness of the individual.

Great Book

It was a wonderful book and in no way deserves a 1 star because it is Christian Lit. When you read the product description and I quote "and makes landmark decisions to trust God and his Word through circumstances and feelings that don't make sense." That should give the buyer a clue that it is Christian Lit.
