John Ortberg is the senior pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church (MPPC) in the San Francisco Bay Area. great for priming the pump in small group discussion circles

Dynamic speaker in a five part series of about 20 minutes each sets forth compelling insights into why Jesus was literally the hinge of history, and how his followers inspired transformative ideas about the place of women and children in society, along with education, literacy, medicine, compassion, and social justice. Its a good counter to the frequent reminders of the damage oft done by institutional religion throughout history.

Who Is This Man is another winner from John Ortberg.

We are using this DVD series in our adult Sunday School class and it is outstanding. John Ortberg has done it again. A bit of humor, excellent insights to the Bible and all packaged in a thought provoking way. The tone is a little more serious than some of his other DVDs and we are using it for Lent. Don't let this one get away from you as it's a winner.
