About the Author
Jean E. Syswerda is a former editor and associate publisher for Zondervan Bibles. She helped produce such bestselling Bibles as the NIV Women's Devotional Bible. General editor of the Women of Faith Study Bible and A Mom's Ordinary Day Bible Study Series, she is the author of the Women's Devotional Guide to the Bible and coauthor of the bestselling Read With Me Bible. Jean and her husband, John, have three children and six grandchildren. They live in Allendale, Michigan. Jody Wheeler developed a greater than average interest in children's books at an early age, having been influenced and encourage by her great aunt Opal Wheeler, a prolific writer of books for young readers in the 1950's. After being trained as a fine artist and art educator, Ms. Wheeler moved to Manhattan in 1977 and eventually turned to the field of publishing. She worked as a design assistant at the Dial Press in the juvenile books division for two years before establishing her own freelance illustration business. Since then she has enjoyed working on a variety of projects ranging from picture books to educational texts and magazines, greeting cards to coloring books.

Just the thing for tucking in...

This is a thorough treatment of Bible stories, not just the usual ones. Its full-color format keeps the reader engaged, while the short, careful writing appeals to both parent and child. Sleep-Tight is a refreshing approach to sharing Bible stories and their timeless lessons with younger audiences. This author is well-qualified as a professional writer and Bible teacher. I love her Women of the Bible series also. It was just the right amount of daily study before heading to work each day.
