About the Author
The late Dr. Jesse Lyman Hurlbert was an ordained minister, serving several congregations during his life. He also held the position of General Secretary of the Sunday School Union and the Trust Society of the Methodist Church.
Joel Spector, a pastel artist and illustrator known for his images of elegance, is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology. He continued his art training at the Arts Student's League, where he studied anatomy and painting. Mr. Spector is currently on staff at Western Connecticut State University teaching figure drawing and illustration. He lives in Connecticut with his wife, Rowena, and their four children. -

Good for Big Kids

This is a good Bible story book for older children or even adults that like to read about the more heard of stories from the Bible. It is not for really small children I do have young grandchildren 9 and 10 and they like to read the stories. I had a hard time finding a story book that was not for very small children. My adult sister wanted something to read out loud with her husband at night so we tried this one and they are enjoying it.

This is a really good Bible stories book. Not only for children, but for adults who aren't familiar with the Bible as well. I ordered one of these books about 5 years ago for one set of grandkids, and then again a couple months ago for my other household of grandkids.

a great addition to any religious set

I grew up with this book, and wanted my kids to have it too. It's great to see it without all of the dog eared edges and pages.
