About the Author
Rebecca St. James, an Australian born Christian recording artist, is both a Grammy Award winner and multiple Dove Award recipient. She is also the bestselling author of Wait for Me, SHE Teen, and What Is He Thinking. She has appeared in the film Sarah’s Choice and provided a voice in VeggieTales An Easter Story.
Anna Vojtech has illustrated numerous books for children, including folktales and stories about nature. Anna was raised in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) - a magical place for a young girl to grow up. Since 1982 she has lived on Cape Ann, Massachusetts, with her husband and their two sons.

Christmas presents for my grandchildren!

No Christmas present for my grandchildren could be more special than words and music of truth by Rebecca St. James. The illustrations in "The Friendly Beasts" by Anna Vojtech were stunning as well. I highly recommend this book to children and grownups of all ages.

Used as basis for Christmas Program

This is a beautiful presentation of this carol. We are using it in Sunday School as a basis for our Christmas Eve Program. Every Sunday in assemblyl, we choose a child to turn the pages while we sing the carol. The artwork is just beautiful!

The Friendly Beasts carol story

This Advent, the church where I am organist and choir director did a series on the stories behind certain Christmas carols, including the Carol of the Friendly Beasts. After researching the various books and music available for Carol of the Friendly Beasts, I chose this one by Rebecca St. James as appearing to be the most authentic. Our Sunday school children acted out the parts while priest read the story. Then the adult choir sang the entire carol with solos for each animal. Rebecca St James' CD that came with the book is quite inspirational, and the book is beautifully illustrated. Everyone who participated or experienced the service loved the way that this book presented the story and music. Thank you for making it available at just the right time!
