Things don’t start out very well for the King cousins and their friends. While enjoying a day sledding down the hills of Prince Edward Island, Dan is knocked unconscious, and Cecily falls through the ice. Later, in the spring, the Story Girl’s beloved cat, Paddy, goes missing for three weeks, returning sick and pitiful. To make things even worse, an annoying boy has a crush on Cicely, and will not leave her alone. Just when things are beginning to look terrible, some of the most exciting things imaginable happen—Aunt Olivia announces she’s going to get married, and Peter’s dad returns to Prince Edward Island a changed man, converted to Christianity.

Don't be Fooled

In another attempt to continue making money off of the amazing Lucy Montgomery - her estate (or editors) have decided to split the books "The Story Girl" and "The Golden Road" in to something like 6 separate books. No doubt charging full price for all the books. The stories are wonderful and beautifully written. Mrs. Montgomery herself, indicated that these books were closest to her heart. So, in order to read the stories in the correct chronological order and save yourself some money - just buy the two previously mentioned novels and enjoy!!

Don't Even Think About It If You're a True Fan.

This book is nothing like L.M. Montgomery's classic stories. It may be worthwhile on its own, but how can people even think of stealing Montgomery's immortal Sara and her friends?
