Awesome Beginning Readers

The entire series is a must have library addition for beginning or struggling readers. As a school principal I would recommend the book for K-1st graders. My 3 year old grandson loves this book. His mother is a teacher and he has been reading since he was two. The repeated words and phonics clues throughout are great!
I also appreciated the Christian content. The Bible stories are authentic and relevant. These are great faith builders for children and adults. Another great benefit is that the material is multi-cultural. Everyone can see themselves in the bible characters. Happy Reading!!!

Wonderful little books

I have purchased many of the books in this series in Spanish from Amazon for a friend of mine who lives in Mexico. She is 8 years old and reads Spanish quite fluently, but whe wants to learn English. She is being raised Catholic and her mother has given me permission to send these books to her so that she can begin to study English.
I am fascinated by the outstanding quality of these books. First, they are accurate to the letter about the Bible stories they are portraying, but make the stories so simple that a child can follow them. In David and Goliath, we meet several bottom-line Bible characters: King Saul, David, David's Brothers, two armies and Goliath. This is a story that a child has to love because the little boy is able to kill the giant, Goliath, while the adults are unable to do so and run away from him. Any child will want to be a follower of God after seeing how much God helped little David. It is a terribly important concept to impart.
The people in the stories come in various skin shades and have varying colors of hair, so that any reader can relate to the characters.
There are 32 pages in each book, but each page only has one paragraph so that the child is likely to enjoy the reading as opposed to dreading a lot of content. In the Spanish/English version, the words are translated quite correctly from one language to the other so that the child can easily pick up new words in the language that is foreign to him.
Some of the other books have deeper content to impart, such as the meaning of "sin" but this book and this story makes the child into a hero and that is just about the greatest thing a book, or God, can do.
I hope you will enjoy this series as much as I and other readers have.

This whole series is just great. We have lots of kids bibles at our house but I wanted clear stories with lots of pictures per story and easy to understand basic words for my 3 and 4 year old boys to understand. The pictures are great and I could not be happier. Just what I wanted! And the boys love the, too!
