About the Author
Karma Wilson's first poem was published at the tender age of six. The poem was ironically titled, 'I Don't Wanna Write a Poem!' Growing up, she had no desire to write. But Providence had different plans, and now Karma writes poems for a living when she's not busy being a wife and raising three kids. Karma is the bestselling author of Bear Snores On and Bear Wants More, as well as Let's Make a Joyful Noise, Give Thanks to the Lord, and I Will Rejoice.
Amy June Bates has illustrated dozens of children's books, including Pumpkin Cat and the Beryl E. Bean series. She lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with her husband and their son, Evan.

It's a Blessing

I love Karma Wilson's books - the rhymes are delightful. I purchase all of her books for the library. I plan to use this book in my Sunday school class because the book lends to so many discussion topics. The illustrations are soft and warm to match the Psalm verse. It's a good feeling book that I highly reccommend.

Wonderful children's book--enjoyable with a good lesson!

This children's story fleshes out the meaning of Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." The verse is repeated throughout the book as the girl goes about her day rejoicing in waking up to a new day, in sitting down to breakfast, in running and playing, etc. A great story to help illustrate that we are to rejoice in the Lord in all things, even the routine. The illustrations are adorable also. My 5- and 3-year-old daughters love this book. I will probably give it as a gift in the future to other children in the 2-5 year-old range. I definitely recommend this book for that age range.

Beautiful Story!

I purchased this book because I like to read one book every day for a month with my daughter (2 yrs) and we both LOVE this one! Not only does my daughter have Psalm 118 memorized, but we are able to discuss different things we can be thankful for and rejoice in with the every day. We are big fans of Karma Wilson's writing and creativity and this book does not disappoint. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful.
