Not what I hoped for and missing voice in lesson 3

I chose the rating partly because Phillip Yancey's voice is muted in the third lesson. This was disappointing considering the price of the kit. The leader's guide doesn't really offer much information. I didn't see a more in depth guide available to purchase for the DVD edition. The one I saw was for the 1998VHS edition. I like the worksheets in the old guide.
Also I was searching for a study about Jesus more specifically one that would deepen one's relationship.
The films only show how he was depicted by film producers; some accurate some over the top. Some of the clips and music seem a little corny. Jesus saying "shut-up" alarmed me. I want my small study group to learn of a loving Savior; thought that was going to be more of the focus. To know Him in ways they didn't know possible. Some of the discussion questions used theological terms that are somewhat intimidating (hard to understand) for a regular churchgoer with little or no background in theology.
Written more for college students in Religious studies or beginner Seminary student.
I am going to modify this to make it work for my Bible Study at Church. Talking about Jesus is always incredible. I will
likely delete/shorten many of the video clips. Thank you very much!

I LOVE the study, but DVD not my fav

The Jesus I Never Knew is a WONDERFUL... 6-star study! This video is grand for new christians or seekers, but for regular study groups grounded in faith, I would suggest the book and study guide over this video DVD. The video DVD has good stuff, but it is a brief generalization with emphisis on historical Jesus movies that were filmed. Do it as a followup when you finish the origianl study, but if you a new Christian, start this now!
