Pretty Good but....

This is a wonderful book that I read to my 6 year old. I was expecting more pictures to keep her interest. I recall a beautiful kids bible book when I grew up that had great pictures that kept my attention. The photos here are wonderful but scarce. I give it a four star because it is well written and she enjoys it. It would be more fun however with a little more pictures to go with the story. Now I am going to add the other bible to my collection with the 1,000 (+) pages. That is an obscene amount of pages for any book, but maybe its big because there are more pictures. If that is the case that would work for her current age group and when she is older we can go back to this "big girl bible" as I now lovingly call it. I will let you know about the massive bible after I purchase it. Keep your eyes open for me to amend this review with a comparison of the two books soon!

I liked the concept but it lacked pictures and also did not have much that would hold the interest of children long enough to want to continue reading.
